Group and support for those going through treatment
You are not alone. We’re here to help.
Support group activities are confidential and include
formal and informal groups
offering support and information
for people affected by hepatitis C, their families and friends. We offer
a wide range of free resources, and counselling
and support for people going through treatment. Call us on 6257 2911. For
more information download our brochure in PDF here. If you do not have Acrobat, you can download it

Monthly support group meeting for
people living with Hepatitis C in the ACT and surrounding area:
We hold a monthly support group
meeting for people living with hepatitis c, normally on the first
Wednesday of each month. Meetings alternate between venues on Canberra’s
northside and southside and start around 5.45pm. (Scroll down for further information….)
NEXT SUPPORT GROUP MEETING: Wednesday 2nd April 2008 at
5.30 for 5.45pm at the Council’s offices, 1/15 Sargood Street,
O’Connor (near the shops).
Refreshments provided.
We’re a mixed, friendly and
non-judgemental group, and we welcome all people regardless of age, sex, ethnicity or how you got
infected. The more variety, the more interesting it is. Come along and share your story, your
problems and your tips for maintaining health. Or come along just to
listen. We’ve all got hep c and we’re all here to support
each other. We regularly have speakers to talk to us about relevant
topics such as nutrition, treatment options or de-stressing techniques.
Please check this page for updates or
contact Marie at the ACT Hepatitis C Council on 6257 2911 during office
